Brandt Beef Named Official Beef Of The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club For 2012

Brandt Beef, the locally-owned company whose award-winning beef products all go under the signature phrase “The True Natural,” has been designated Del Mar’s official beef for the second consecutive racing season.

Del Mar’s Turf Club and its fine dining restaurants, Red Star Café, Stretch Run Grill, Café Del Sol, Clubhouse Terrace, Pacific Grill, Veranda Café and Il Palio, feature Brandt Beef, a local, Brawley-based operation that is family-owned, and responsibly raised and produced. The Brandt family has been in the livestock and farming business since the early 1900s and started raising animals without hormones in 1990, well before natural processing was even discussed in the consumer marketplace.

Among the items featured on Del Mar menus are the Brandt Corned Beef Hash & Eggs, Brandt Beef Prime Short Ribs, Brandt Corned Beef Reuben, Grilled Carne Asada Tampiquena, and Brandt Beef “The True Natural” Burger.

Del Mar’s current racing season began Wednesday, July 18, and continues on through Wednesday, September 5. Racing is held five days each week, from Wednesday through Sunday. There also will be racing on Labor Day, Monday, September 3.
