A single Pick Six ticket on races 3 through 8 Thursday at Del Mar took down a nifty pot of $84,518 – collection both the day’s regular Pick Six pool as well as the “Jackpot” pool carried over from the track’s opening day Wednesday.
The ticket, which cost $2,560 and was sold at The Meadowlands in New Jersey, tabbed six straight winners on the eight-race card, including a trio of longshots to finish out the run.
The regular carryover from Day #2 of 36 at Del Mar was $52,521. The “Jackpot” carryover total was $31,996. The “Jackpot” monies are only paid out when a single winning ticket is in play.
The six winners were: Race 3 – Easy Song ($8.80); Race 4 – Gummy ($5.60); Race 5 – Country Lineman ($9.80); Race 6 – Mama’s Kid ($36.60); Race 7 – Snow Cloud ($25.80), and Race 8 – Midnight Summer ($16.60).
The winning numbers were 6-3-7-3-9-1.
A new “Jackpot” pool will begin to grow Friday when racing resumes. First post is at 4 p.m.
