A competitive field of seven older California-bred fillies and mares will tangle Sunday in the $100,000 Betty Grable Stakes at seven furlongs over Del Mar’s main dirt track. Post time for the first of eight races is 12:30 p.m.

The field in post position order is Show It N Moe It, Rafael Bejarano; Creative Instinct, Joe Talamo; Starr of Quality, Tiago Pereira; Love a Honeybadger, Tyler Baze; Mo See Cal, Abel Cedillo; Coco Kisses, Edgar Maldonado, and Queen Bee to You, Flavien Prat.

Mo See Cal, a daughter of Uncle Mo trained by Peter Miller, comes into the race off a sixth-place finish in the Grade I Breeders’ Cup Distaff at Santa Anita November 2. She was prominent early but faded in the stretch behind victorious Blue Prize. Miller also entered Love a Honeybadger, fourth in the 2018 Betty Grable to Spiced Perfection, and Creative Instinct, a wire-to-wire winner sprinting at Santa Anita in late October.

Queen Bee to You is the most experienced entrant in the Betty Grable with 30 starts, winning five with eleven seconds and five thirds for earnings of more than $400,000. She was unplaced in the Grade I Clement L. Hirsch during Del Mar’s summer meet.

Show It N Moe It, a winner of six of 26 races and almost $500,000, is a frequent stakes performer and was fifth in the 2018 Grable. Completing the line-up in a wide-open renewal are Starr of Quality, third behind Mo See Cal at Santa Anita, and Coco Kisses, fourth last time out in a mile race at Santa Anita.
