ARMANDO AYUSO (Somerset West, winner) – “I had no trouble the whole trip. We saved ground all the way around and she was there for me at the finish. I worked her in the mornings. She’s a good filly; she’s got some real promise.”

JOHN SADLER (Somerset West, winner) – “The family is kind of one-run so when I saw her sneaking up the rail I thought, ‘this is good’. The family has a little distance limitations, so we liked the mile distance. She’s run three or four good races. A little unlucky a couple of times. Really a great ride. You got to give him (jockey Armando Ayuso) credit. He saved all the ground and came up the rail.”
