Longshot Blueberry Lemon Drop, Hot to Trot & The Denman Served from The Handle Bar

“Old Del Mar” (Bing’s place is coming up on 90, you know) always manages to come up with something “new” for its racing fans. They’ve done it again in spades for 2026.

Among the several “new” offerings are the personal pizzas now available at the Oggi’s outlet at the track’s Stretch Run 2nd Floor Jockey Box and the 2nd Floor Clubhouse. The popular sports bar, brewhouse and pizza parlor is one of more than a half-dozen Oggi’s locations around San Diego that have served their clientele for more than 35 years. Oggi’s will be a part of the popular Friday Happy Hour each week, where personal pizzas, signature drinks and select beers at 25% off from opening up to 4 p.m.      

Also fresh on the agenda now is the Aloha Rib Shack, located in the track’s 17 Hands restaurant just off the paddock. The folks behind the award-winning Tanner’s Prime Burgers have shown the way here featuring delicious grilled Maui Brandt beef ribs, as well as extras like Mac salad, tallow-garlic rice and pickled slaw.  

Yet another new addition is The Handle Bar, which is “hidden in plain sight” on the track’s 4th Floor, though you’ll have to do some asking around to discover the exact location. The “mystery” is part of the pizazz around the polished location with its handcrafted cocktails, jazz melodies and old-time, old-school feel harkening back to Del Mar’s beginnings.  

First post daily at Del Mar is 2 p.m. with a Thursday-to-Sunday routine in place throughout the meet.
