Brian Chenvert from Rogers, MN, roared from behind in the final race with a trifecta paying $30,660, besting 123 total entries. Chenvert went all-in with just over $3,000 in various trifecta wagers in a bold move to rocket to the top of the leaderboard.
Last year’s winner Nisan Gabbay of Del Mar, CA and Steven Wells from Fordville, ND, finished second and third to round out the top three as both turned their $3,000 live money starting bankrolls into over $20,000.
Chenvert winnings included $30,000 in cash plus a $10,000 Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge (BCBC) entry, hosted at Del Mar on October 31 & November 1. In addition, he receives a 2026 National Horseplayers Championship (NHC) entry. Chenvert takes home $45,000 in prizes in addition to the $30,000 bankroll for total winnings of more than $75,000.
Participants played on-track at Del Mar or online on TVG.com and competed for $125,000 in total prizes. The top 10 finishers receive a dazzling mix of prizes including cash, five $10,000 BCBC entries, 2026 NHC spots and cash.
