Carryovers In The $2 Pick Six And $1 Super High Are Up For Grabs Friday At Del Mar

Del Mar has two carryovers up for grabs for Friday’s eight-race card. The $2 Pick Six has a carryover $51,879, and the $1 Super High 5, which will be offered in the eighth and final race, has a $23,912 carryover. 

The Pick Six carryover at the seaside oval was clinched in Sunday’s last race when Low Expectations, trained by Antonio Garcia, prevailed under Armando Ayuso and paid $42.80. The consolation payout for tickets with five of six winners was $324.20.

The winning horses in Del Mar’s Pick Six Sunday, starting with the fourth race, were #3 Pokernightatvees ($4.80), #5 Magnificat ($12), #6 Final Table Lady ($7.40), #7 Berlin Wall ($5), #4 Revera ($11.80) and #2 Low Expectations ($42.80).

The upset win in the ninth and final race by Low Expectations also lead to a Super High 5 Carryover. The Super High 5 requires bettors to select the top-five finishers in exact order. Low Expectations hit the wire first and was followed by Joint Venture (4-1), Feel the Magic (7-1), Mischief’s Causeway (35-1), and Great King (12-1).

The $2 Pick Six on Friday will begin with race 3 and has an approximate post time of 1:30 PM. The $1 Super High 5 will be available in the eighth and final race with an approximate post time of 4 PM. A field of 10 are entered in the Cal-bred maiden claiming race.
