Wild in the Saddle Faces Seven Rivals in Betty Grable Stakes Sunday

 
Wild in the Saddle, the six-year-old mare who scored the ninth victory of her career last summer when she won the Tranquility Stakes at Del Mar, will face seven older filly and mare rivals Sunday in the $100,000 Betty Grable Stakes at seven furlongs.
 
Wild in the Saddle, owned by Anderson and Ortiz and trained by Richard Baltas, will have hot-riding Mario Gutierrez in the saddle under 124 pounds, co-highweighted with Our Pure Creation(Fernando Perez), victress in the California Distaff Stakes at Santa Anita early last month.
 
Others in the line-up which is restricted to California-bred runners are Kiss at Midnight, second to Our Pure Creation in the California Distaff; Wonderful Lie, a winner of her most recent start at Los Alamitos; My Monet, runner-up to Wild in the Saddle in the Tranquility Stakes; Yana, Harlington's Rose and Ashley's Sassy.
