Unbeaten Just Grazed Me, owned and bred by Nick Alexander in California, will face ten three-year-old filly rivals Sunday in the Grade III $100,000 Torrey Pines Stakes at one mile over Del Mar’s main dirt track.

Just Grazed Me, a daughter of Grazen trained by Phil D’Amato, will have Tyler Baze in the saddle as she seeks her third victory. She earned stakes credentials with an impressive victory in the seven-furlong Fleet Treat Stakes in late July and will be attempting to stretch her speed around two turns in the Torrey Pines.

Lining up versus Just Grazed Me will be Royal Descendant, Tiago Pereira; Thirteen Squared, Joe Talamo; Spring Lily, Gary Stevens; Lemoona, Flavien Prat; Well Hello, Mike Smith; Zusha, Stewart Elliott; Aunt Lubie, Brice Blanc; Wicked Storm, Geovanni Franco; Broome, Evin Roman, and True Royalty, Drayden Van Dyke.

Expected to vie with Just Grazed Me for favoritism is the Bob Baffert-conditioned Thirteen Squared, entering the Torrey Pines from a narrow neck loss to Ollie’s Candy in the Summer Oaks at Santa Anita in mid-June. Ollie’s Candy returned to finish second to Fatale Bere in the Grade I Del Mar Oaks recently.

Post time for the first of ten races Saturday is 2 p.m.
