Random Drawing Set for
2013 Opening Day and Pacific Classic Day Trackside Tables
With the continued popularity of our three Trackside Restaurants (Clubhouse Terrace, Stretch Run Grill and Cafe del Sol), this season we will once again conduct a random drawing to fill table requests for Opening Day and Pacific Classic Day.
If you would like to purchase a table for Opening Day, Wednesday, July 17, or Pacific Classic Day, Sunday August 25, you must enter the random drawing online. Applications will only be accepted from 9:00 a.m. (Pacific Daylight Time) on Monday, April 8, through 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10. There is no fee to enter the drawing. Each drawing winner will be able to purchase one table. Most tables seat a maximum of four however a few two person tables will be available. Opening Day four person tables are $200 and two person tables are $100, Pacific Classic Day four person tables are $150 and two person tables are $75. Track admission is an extra charge and may be purchased at the same time. Table locations are drawn randomly and may not be changed.
All entrants will be notified of their selection status via e-mail on Friday, April 12 and winners will have until 12:00, Wednesday, April 17 to call the Ticket Office to arrange payment.
All other ticket sales, including the sale of Reserved Seats, Admissions and Trackside Tables on dates other than Opening Day and Pacific Classic Day will begin online at 10:00 AM PDT, Friday, May 10.
Why is DMTC conducting a random drawing?
Our three Trackside Restaurants (Clubhouse Terrace, Stretch Run Grill and Cafe del Sol) have become extremely popular. Requests for tables on Opening Day and Pacific Classic Day far exceed our availability, so tables will be sold to randomly selected drawing entrants.
How do I enter the drawing?
Come to the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club website between 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 8, and 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10. Fill out the provided online entry form (which will be available online April 8 to enter the drawing.
How is the drawing done?
After all the applications are received, tables will be sold to randomly selected drawing entrants.
How do I find out if I was selected?
All entrants will be notified of their selection status via e-mail on or before Friday, April 12, 2013. Winning entrants will have until 12:00 (noon) on Wednesday April 17 to contact the Ticket Office by phone to complete their table purchase. At that time we will confirm your reservation and you will be given your table location.
Will I be able to buy tables for Opening Day after the drawing?
No. Tables for Opening Day and Pacific Classic Day will not be available for purchase after the drawing. However, tables for all other dates of the 2013 Racing Season will be available for purchase online beginning May 10 at 10:00 AM PDT.
Why can't I buy more than one (1) table?
Due to the high demand and limited availability of tables, you may not request more than one (1) table in the drawing. Most tables seat a maximum of four however a few two person tables will be available.
Do I need Clubhouse or Stretch Run admission?
If you purchase a Clubhouse Terrace or Cafe del Sol Table, you will need Clubhouse admission. If you purchase a Stretch Run Grill Table, you will need Stretch Run admission. (Clubhouse admission also includes access to the Stretch Run area.)
How much does admission cost?
Admission to the Clubhouse is $10 for all days except Opening Day, when it is $20. Admission to the Stretch Run is $6 for all days except Opening Day, when it is $10.
How do I buy tables for other days?
You may purchase tables for dates other than Opening Day and Pacific Classic Day online beginning May 10 at 10:00 AM PDT. A link to the online Ticket Office will be provided on the Del Mar home page.
How do I buy Reserved Seats for Opening Day or Pacific Classic Day?
Reserved Seats for Opening Day and Pacific Classic Day may be purchased online May 10, 2013.
If I am not selected in the drawing, will I be offered any consolation seating?
No consolation seating will be offered. You will still have the opportunity to purchase Reserved Seats beginning May 10, 2013. You will receive notification via e-mail on or before Friday, April 12, 2013, as to whether or not you were selected in the table drawing.
How much does this cost?
There is no fee to enter the drawing. If you are selected in the drawing, the cost of an Opening Day table is $200 and the cost of a Pacific Classic Day table is $125 (seats up to four people). Admission is sold separately.
Can I specify which table I want when I enter the drawing?
Due to the high demand and limited availability of tables, we will not be able to accommodate specific requests for table location or position.
The purchaser of these tickets agrees NOT to resell these tickets at a premium in excess of the amount shown on the ticket. Ticket purchasers who are or have been identified as having sold or offered for sale tickets in excess of the amount shown on the tickets may have their tickets or ticket order canceled. This cancellation will result in a refund of the total price of the tickets minus any processing fee.
