This week, filter fabric is being placed on over the underlying base of the track surface and a layer of clean blue granite rock added on top of that.
The next step, now scheduled to get underway on March 2, will be the laying of a layer of porous macadam (asphalt) over the entire surface.
Drainage pipes have been installed and covered with aggregate. The existing sub-base was leveled and compacted. |

Filter fabric is rolled out on the 7-furlong chute. covering everything but the area over the perforated drainage pipes. |

Clean crushed blue granite stone is applied and spread evenly over the surface of the track, readying it for the porous macadam. |

Meanwhile, the "mountains" of the blended Polytrack material grow on the track's backside. |
