LADIES' and GENTLEMEN DAY When: Sunday, August 7, Gates open at noon- 1st race at 2:00 pm Where: Seaside Cabana Enjoy live thoroughbred horse racing and special activities on Ladies' (and Gentlemen) Day, held in the luxurious Seaside Cabana at the west end of the Grandstand. Complimentary passes to this special Ladies Day may be obtained through San Diego area event partners listed below. Attendees must have a pass to enter the private Cabana area. There is no dress code but feel free to dress up if you like. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Learn everything you need to know about the races, the horses, the betting, racing terminology and strategies, along with tips and picks in an easy-to-understand seminar. Get unique insight and analysis from top horsemen, handicappers and members of the media. Del Mar media staff hosts. The Seaside Terrace is located at the West end of the Grandstand (near the head of the stretch).
GOURMET FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL When: Saturday, August 18, Noon-6:00 p.m. Gourmet Food Truck Festival More than 50 Gourmet Food Trucks from San Diego/Orange County/Los Angeles Click Here to view the Truck Map Date- Saturday, August 18, 2012 Hours- Noon to 6:00 p.m., Gates open at Noon Location- Seaside Concert area, West of grandstand. Bring your appetite on Saturday, August 18, as some of the tastiest food on wheels comes to Del Mar. It's the first annual Gourmet Food Truck Festival. Enjoy a variety of some of the hottest eats in Southern California as 50 food trucks with real gourmet chefs serve their eclectic bests, all in one location, from noon to 6:00 p.m. Free admission to the Food Truck area with paid racetrack admission of $6 for adults. Children under 18 are free.
