TURF TO SURF 5K RUN

When:   July 28, 2002, 8:00 am
Where: Del Mar Racetrack

Del Mar presents its sixth annual 5K Run/Walk and Kids 1K with a special appearance from famous miler Steve Scott.
Race starts at the West end of the Grandstand, continues along the coast of Del Mar and ends back in the
racetrack infield where there will be a post race party and a chance to watch the horses in their morning workouts.
Park inside the Main Gate from Jimmy Durante Blvd.

Participants receive a high quality T-shirt, two free admission passes to the races, and goodie bag.

Fees:

5K Run/Walk $18 - late fee $22

Kids 1K (10 & under) $10 - late fee $12

On Thursdays, July 24 and 31; August 7, 14, 21 and 28, all DIAMOND CLUB Seniors 62 and over receive FREE Stretch Run admission when they present their cards and I.D. at designated Stretch Run Admission Gates.

HORSEMEN/MEDIA HANDICAPPING SEMINARS presented by Daily Racing Form

When:   Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays
Where: Seaside Terrace

Fridays- 3:00 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays- 12:30 p.m.

FREE handicapping seminar featuring a special guest speaker going over the day's race card. Get unique insight and analysis from top horsemen, handicappers and members of the media.

Daily Racing Form handicappers host on Fridays. Del Mar media staff hosts on Saturdays and Sundays.

SENIORS DAYS- FREE ADMISSION, PROGRAM & SEAT

When:   Thursday, July 17 & Wednesday, August 20

On Thursday, July 17 and Wednesday, August 20, all Seniors 62 and over receive FREE Stretch Run admission, FREE official program and FREE reserved seat when they present their I.D. at designated Stretch Run Admission Gates.

MARINE APPRECIATION DAY

When:   Monday, September 1

Come honor our troops on "Marine Appreciation Day at Del Mar". All active military receive FREE Stretch Run admission.
There will be a presentation in the Winners Circle after the 4th race.
