$500,000 Pick 4 Rules and Regulations

HOW TO PLAY

The $500,000 Pick 4 promotion will occur every Saturday & Sunday during the 2009 Del Mar race meet.
Patrons who wish to play the $500,000 Pick 4 may do so by simply wagering on the Pick 4 at Del Mar or any satellite location which receives Del Mar's signal and whose Pick 4 pool is co-mingled with Del Mar's. If you are not sure whether the satellite wagering location at which you wager co-mingles its Pick 4 pool with Del Mar's, inquire with the facility supervisor.
Use the typical (official) Pick 4 betting card to make your Pick 4 wager(s).
The Del Mar Pick 4 is a minimum $1 wager. A minimum Pick 4 wager requires that you choose at least one (1) horse in each of the four (4) races involved in the Pick 4.

DEL MAR'S GUARANTEE

Every Saturday & Sunday, Del Mar will guarantee a minimum Pick 4 gross pool of $500,000 (five hundred thousand dollars) with a minimum net pool of $396,600 to be distributed in accordance with Del Mar's Pick 4 rules as approved by the California Horse Racing Board.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONTESTANTS

The $500,000 Pick 4 will be played in accordance with the rules of the California Horse Racing Board and in accordance with the pari-mutuel rules in the jurisdiction where the wager originates. Age requirements may vary from location to location; however, in California, participants must be 18 years of age or older. Liability for any and all federal, state and local taxes rests solely with the winner(s).

ODDS

Odds of winning any cash prize in this contest will vary and will be determined in accordance with the pari-mutuel rules of the California Horse Racing Board based upon the number of participants, the amount of wagers, the number of horses in the involved races and chance.

LIMITATIONS

There is no limit to the number of Pick 4 wagers a contestant may make. The minimum wager is $1.

JUDGING

Del Mar reserves the right to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to this promotion, without claim for damages or recourse of any kind. ALL QUESTIONS NOT COVERED IN THESE RULES WILL BE DECIDED BY MANAGEMENT OF DEL MAR - ITS DECISION TO BE FINAL.

CANCELLATION

Del Mar reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the $500,000 Pick 4 promotion prior to the close of wagering on the Pick 4 on any Saturday or Sunday, without liability or obligation to any participant(s) for monies otherwise promised through the $500,000 gross pool guarantee and for any reason including, but not limited to, any totalizator or wagering communication malfunction or failure, and any acts of God (e.g., earthquake, flood, storm, etc.)
