5 National Handicapping Championship Spots/Prize Money $25,000
This
is a real money tournament.
Players will be required to put up a $6,000 bankroll from which
tournament bets will be made. At
the conclusion of the tournament, whatever money is accumulated from this
bankroll, whether it grows to $20,000 or falls to $100, remains the
property of the player. There is no entry fee.First
Place is $20,000; Second Place is $5,000.The
top five finishers in the tournament will represent Del Mar in the Daily
Racing Form / NTRA National Handicapping Championship in Las
Vegas. The prize includes travel
and hotel accommodations in Las Vegas.Tournament
races will include the entire card from Del Mar on both Saturday, July 31
and Sunday, August 1 only.A
minimum of $300 must be bet on each race on both Saturday and Sunday. There are no maximums, players may bet
as much as they want, including winnings from their original bankroll,
whenever they wish.Wager types permitted are Win, Place, Show, Exacta, Trifecta and Superfecta only. Because this is a real money
tournament, there are no caps on payoffs.

the day's race card. Get unique insight and analysis from top horsemen,
handicappers and members of the media.Del Mar media staff hosts.
The Seaside Terrace is located at the West end of the Grandstand (near the head of the stretch).
