She’s a filly that you can do a lot of things with. When the horse next to me (High Five Gal) broke slow, I just let my horse go. She went to the front and ran well. That’s pretty much all there was to it. “I stopped wearing my (protective) mask after two days back – Friday and Saturday. I might wear it again on occasion, but I don’t think I need it so much. We were fourth in the Sorrento but she was the only Cal-bred in the field so she did pretty well. She’s been training very well here. She has speed, but we weren’t thinking about going to the front. I left everything up to Rafael [Bejarano].
