The P5 may be pulled from the betting menu if the TOC doesn't agree to split the takeout equally with the Tracks. I support that move.

when the Pick Five came to pass, there was NO agreement, Hollywood Park put it in at there own expense and now want to skirt SB whatever number it was.....Whether or not there should be an equal split is up for debate, but there was NO agreement when the Pick Five started.

Absolutely wrong and whoever is telling you that is full of it. I remember it like it was yesterday. They told me they had to give the TOC a bigger cut to get it in. I told them to tell the TOC to shove it. To Hollywood Parks credit they took the worst of it and helped California Racing by implementing one of the most popular bets around.

Nobody thought it would work but there was a verbal agreement that if it stayed on they would adjust the cut.

If it were up to me I'd give the Tracks 50% of the SB1072 money. At least I know they would do more for their Customers.

Andy, according to the TOC heads, it is absolutely there was NO verbal agreement and everyone involved KNEW it would be popular....everyone also knew it would cut into the Pick Six...But Hollywood Park was absolutely desperate because the early races had so few horses, they HAD to do something...they did it on their own accord...SB 72 or whatever the number is was never goingto be disturbed by the Pick Five..When the other tracks saw how popular it was, they put it in, again at their own peril...

They are lying. Not just a little but a lot. They ALL thought they were throwing us a bone that would go away in a few months. That's the truth. They jerked everyone around till the last minute so they could demand a bigger cut of the take in my opinion.

It was originally proposed to Santa Anita as a way to prevent the boycott. They refused because they thought it would be loser and that the boycott would nothing.

NOBODY at the CHRB, the tracks, or the TOC thought it would succeed. Brackpool said it would be gone in a few months and would be lucky to handle 20k.
