Jebrica is actually a gelding whom the connections have wanted to try on turf. His last race was on turf at Hollywood but against better horses and Jebrica ran poorly. He can run some--he's won a couple of stakes up here--if he takes to the surface better this time he has a shot.

Exactly. That's what I tried till my wife put the Kybosh on the plan. Can only imagine how tough it is when the cheering stops. That and competing at the highest level as one of the greats. Truth be told I didn't realize he was this young. In this day and age, especially with the advancements in sports medicine and nutrition no reason why he can't feel those adrenaline rushes for another 5 years. And what the heck is wrong with that?

CA Riding colony is still tough but anywhere near it was 10-15 years ago. All Gary Stevens has to deal with is Rafael Bejarano, Joe Talamo, Garrett Gomez, Edwin Maldonado, Martin Garcia, Tyler Baze, Julien Leparoux and Mike Smith. In the East, he would've had to deal with tougher like Javier Castellano, Joel Rosario, John Velazquez, Jose Lezcano, Ramon Dominguez, Rajiv Maragh and Rosie Napravnik. So techincally Gary chose the right place to make his comeback in the West.

Like all jockeys, all Gary has to deal with is getting quality horses to ride.
America must have the highest "goofs per capita" rating of any nation outside Antarctica.

Speaking of that. Has he said anything about an agent?

Goof

Who in the hell is going to trust a 50 year old with a good horse.

Secondly, he will ride very conservative, last thing on his mind is not getting hurt.
