For YEARS, Roberto Gonzalez finished 2nd behind Baze in the standings at NoCal tracks - and Bobby was 100x the rider Alvarado is.

Bobby was the best up north. Always had Baze in his rear view mirror. Was like PVal in his prime up there. I remember
there were 3 sure things in life: Death, taxes, and Gonzalez will be on the lead.

Total FACT, Mike. I cashed some of my biggest tickets ever on Bobby. Will never forget his theft job on I'madrifter at big odds in a stake race at Golden Gate in March of 2003. Jumpers missed badly on Halo Cat in that race.......was in Vegas for that wager and spent the entire weekend awash in $$$.
