Smiling TigerI wanted to get everyone's impression on his race. I was quite impressed. I really believe Bonde has done an exceptional training job with this horse.
Re: Smiling TigerLooks like Smiling Tiger has come back better than ever from the second surgery. Great job by Bonde and team to keep him going.

Re: Smiling TigerA "Tiger" on BHP's cushion track but will be up against it at Santa Anita if he has too much to do in the stretch with
track profile always seeming to lean towards front runners. Still a very nice horse!!!!
Re: Smiling Tiger
Crazykid never gave up on him. Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.
Re: Smiling Tigeri singled him in the bc, ran 3rd at 20to1. bonde has had great success buying horses at the washington sale.
Re: Smiling TigerI absolutely love the Tiger, but this 100%...
He's a total synth runner. I will bet against him every single time he's on the dirt.
Re: Smiling Tigerhe ran a winning raCE IN THE BC SPRINT AT CHURCHILL A COUPLE OF YEARS ago but got in a ton of trouble
he was much the best that day. so he is just as good on dirt.
Re: Smiling TigerConnections report that Smiling Tiger could be Dubai Golden Shaheen-bound after his win the Grade 3 Underwood Stakes

Re: Smiling Tiger
Let's see... 2012 Sprint (SA Dirt) - 3rd 2012 Triple Bend (Belmont) - 3rd 2012 CD Stakes (Churchill) - 5th 2011 CD Stakes (Churchill) - 6th 2011 Count Fleet (Oaklawn) - 1st 2011 San Carlos (SA) - 1st 2011 Palos Verdes (SA) - 3rd 2010 Malibu (SA) - 2nd 2010 Sprint (CD) - 3rd So, 2 for 9 on dirt... He's 7 for 14 on the synth... Don't get me wrong, I love the guy! But he don't like the dirt...
Re: Smiling Tigerbest race of his life was at oaklawn. bonde paid $40k for him at the washington sale. he bought another horse at that sale for $32k, the horse broke her maiden at bay meadows then ran in the hollywood starlet won that by 7 then the owner sold her for $450k to henry pabst. she won just over $100k before he sold her and he only had her for 4 months, so a half a million profit on $32k investment in 4 months. pretty sweet. she has turned out to be a nice broodmare too, her babies have sold for as much as $350 at keeneland september. she herself sold at keeneland last month for $85k
