Re: Luxury train to Vegas?I'm a train fan and Norman has a friend he likes to visit over in Vegas, but hates the drive. Maybe we'll try it out -- assuming it actually happens.

Re: Luxury train to Vegas? When they have a bullet train to LV and one is there in an hour, they will have something.
However, San Francisco is another story. One in L.A. would take the train to San Diego or San Francisco to visit. I know this for a fact, San Diego and San Francisco is in the top five vacation spots in the United States.
Re: Luxury train to Vegas?I think its a great idea for people who are scared of flying. I have a few thoughts on the idea. First of all its not gonna be a bullet train like others were advertised. Second your looking at at least 6+ hours each way.I'm guessing the 200.00 rt fare is an introductory fare and is gonna go up asap. Agreed with others that would be great for bdays, weddings, bachelor parties etc. I stopped flying to Vegas after it cost 200.00+ rt and McCarron has turned into a nightmare.Especially if you fly SW it takes you 20 min from debarking to the cabs or shuttles. The last 5,6 years I have drove and just leave early enough to get to my beloved SouthPoint in 3.5 hours in the part time GF's Prius.
