I was expecting 3 rd or 4th at best at the 1/2 :?: the fractions were 48 and change, not exactly setting up for come from behind types, surprised in Little Zen's move, nice ride too, and a very lively race call by Vic which was the whipped cream on a Latte  well done sir

a horse like zenyatta was bought for $65k. no other business i can think of could give you that kind of return on investment.
the thing is she wasnt that hard to find. i know she had thumps at the sales but a good horseman could see past that.
and its not unusual at all for horses to be bought for minimal amounts of money that return millions actually happens all the time and there are only 35 thousand horses bred each year
so the odds are actually really good.

John Henry was sold as a yearling for $1,100 at the Keeneland January Mixed sale to John Callaway who is credited with giving John Henry his name.

And she's suddenly three in front. Ha ha, where have I heard that before? Enjoyable race and call.

And so the pressure cooker begins.

Thanks for all the nice race call props guys. Really means a lot to me. Funny how really nice horses can make an announcer sound good.

Thanks for the vid. I didn't get to see the race, but no matter who's sister she was, I could have bet her on looks alone. Bodes well that a young horse can wait and do the major running at the end. Looks as healthy as a ... well, a horse!
Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.
