Thought Vic did a fine job on the pronunciation of her name, too.
I hate it when I don't forward chain letter and I die the next day!

Andy Beyer will not be too happy with this development.

Sorry HMike. It was public knowledge that the owner was flying in from New York to attend.

An owner flying 3000 miles to watch a maiden race? that would have been a red flag for me.

That's actually true. I didn't list the order of finish until after the race was official. I was taking it all in and very choked up. Really great stuff!

Posting in between races...talk about multi-tasking!

Good call, as always, Vic.

Been at it a long time LEYKIS. Thanks. With all the gloom and doom we all deserved a day like today. Such great stuff.

It was pretty good stuff, wasnt it. I'll have to go back and listen to the call tonight on calracing because I only caught bits and pieces of it from the loudspeaker (mind you I was watching the race from the GGF roof with the sound on the TV muted...bleh). What I did hear just made me love the race today even more! Anyway, on tv she sure looked amazing physically....from the rear you could see a little Zenyatta in her I thought. She is nice.

i think the thing that entrigues me most about horse racing other than the racing it's self is that
a horse like zenyatta was bought for $65k. no other business i can think of could give you that kind of return on investment.
the thing is she wasnt that hard to find. i know she had thumps at the sales but a good horseman could see past that.
and its not unusual at all for horses to be bought for minimal amounts of money that return millions actually happens all the time and there are only 35 thousand horses bred each year
so the odds are actually really good.

Seattle Slew was @ $27,500... of course that was 70's bucks, but still....
It upsets people around here if we speak about Lave Man. Good deal though.
Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.
