Re: Down to two choicesi thought it was ebb blu eee saunt but i'm scottish, irish, and german so what do i know.

Re: Down to two choices
As you know, I've called many races and ran into this language issue several times. So, personally, I would just say "Zenyatta's Baby Sister." Why make things so complicated? Vince P Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Re: Down to two choices
I did go see Michelle. He said both my choices were incorrect. The final answer is closer to your version Tuxtin. EH-BLOO-E-SAUNT I've been further instructed to [pronounce the "t" at the end because she's a filly. A colt the T would be silent. Thanks to Tuxtin and Vince for the ovewhleming responses. Vince your ARC call this year was just average. Terrible racetrack made it tougher. Constantly saying " Where the hell is Frankel?" didn't seem appropriate though.
Re: Down to two choices
Studied French back in the day. I believe the pronunciation is base of the gender of the word, not of the named animal. With Trevor's Tray Borrachos, etc. you'll be in good company if you miss-pronounce it. I hate it when I don't forward chain letter and I die the next day!
Re: Down to two choicesFor some reason this made me think of:
Lawrence of Olivier Alex Quebec I don't know why. "And Afleet Alex just ran right by Giacomo like he was standing still!"

Oh my! Tugging on Superman's cape a bit are we?
Re: Down to two choicesSome of Trevor's pronouciations are quite...uh, unique.

Re: Down to two choices
No such thing, Vic. Trevor is great but he has slaughtered some relatively easy ones in the past. I will never forget him calling a favorite filly of mine Really Arrogant instead of Really Elegant multiple times during a race. It was funny. I know I couldn't do that job, so I just laugh and am grateful to be reminded that nobody's perfect. It's what makes us human. BTW, great call today.
