Re: From a Player point of view- The 20 cent bet-To make moneyThis bet was designed for the handicapper who has no clue how to pick a horse from their nose and sticks an All in the first slot of the tri. Then celebrates like the 4th of July when they hit the huge tri that they bought in reality wasting money by chasing a big score.

What I mean is this, take a 100 players, at most tracks 90 % lose, at Woodbine, maybe 70 % lose, That is a huge difference
Re: From a Player point of view- The 20 cent bet-To make moneyLester Woodbine is operating only because of their slot machines, if woodbine could close the horse racing and re-brand-it a casino, they would in a second, by the way their pools are down somewhere in the 30% range
20 cent gimmicks don't mean much of anything, just keep the standard quot

I agree, however, one must go what ever he can afford, Nobody is forcing anyone to just play a 20 cent bet, one can bet what ever he wants. As I always said, It's hard enough to get the odds on one side to win. Remember getting the odds on your side, one will come out a winner overall. Forget lady luck, create you own.

Sharp post.
Re: From a Player point of view- The 20 cent bet-To make money
That would be a huge difference if it were true but it isn't. Betting more combinations doesn't give you a better chance of going home a winner. It gives you a much better chance of a ticket but the cost is much lower net odds. The end game is the same, the bettors will only win what is in the pool after the track gets the take-out.Using your logic Lester you should bet 4 or 5 horses to win in each race because you would increase your chances of being a winner. Remember, you have all the answers, I going to tell you something I have seen this and you will see, overall in the future, this game will break you down at the end, No one wins. When you are older, someone will come alone ant tear you apart. (It always happens,) age ! So get off off of your high horse and come down to earth.

Please note that I am not bothering "seriously" just frivolously. Sarcasm:the ability to insult idiots without them realizing it
Re: From a Player point of view- The 20 cent bet-To make moneyAndy
Please note that I am not bothering "seriously" just frivolously. as you said, That's how I take Arron, he does have a good knowledge of horse racing, however, he puts himself above most people, People like that always get kick in the butt sooner or later. He is young and still has to learn about life and people and how to get along. He would not do good in Politics or siting on a board or the Horse Racing Board.
