Inglewatts' Admission ???????

Postby Vince P » Fri Nov 09, 2012 1:34 pm

Don’t get me wrong, Vince can't remember the last time he paid admission to gamble and lose his money at any track, but what's up with the $10 admission charge at Inglewatts? Are they serious?

What do you get for $10? A hooker? A program? This is crazy.

It appears to me that everyone who is someone gets in for free so the only ones paying are the Johns and Janes – basically new fans, beginners and degenerates.

Makes no sense to me.

Any other tracks in the country charge $10 for GENERAL loving admission? That's ludicrous. And it's not like you're entering the Bellagio or something.

Lester - what is your opinion on this?

Real players choose the Pomona Sports Book. Don't even have to change cloths or shower. A plaid shirt and a disgusting black baseball hat is my weekend gear. A player can smoke and gamble and not give love about the rules that govern society.

Just tell the guy at the front gate that you are going in to make a tvg deposit and never come back. Between 300-900 people pull this move a day for the last 5 years and no one has caught on yet.

Part of the $10 admission fee includes a built in parking fee I suppose.

Sort of reminds me of the night club that charges a $10 cover charge, then tries to charge the patrons $10 for a jack and coke. While the $10 per head is all profit and looks good on the books at $1,500 a night, it turns away most patrons over time and eventually they go belly up.

Instead of gambling at another facility, degenerates can stay home, save money on gas, can bet more races on their computer, can fart and burp as they please, gamble in their underwear or sweatsuit, eat free food, and drink a beer that cost them .75 not $7.

The only people that i suspect feel they need to go to live racing are those like claimboxx who i suspect looks at every horse in the paddock for body language because he is serious about making money gambling unlike the 99% of others.

$10 bucks is simply outrageous to attend a track that is heading its way out of business.
