I think most will agree that the clock is ticking on HP remaining a racetrack. The question that is the most important now is the dates hen it does close? IIRC current CHRB laws prohibit a company outside (in the south zone) of Hollywood Park to run more than 17 in one business company.
now we will revert back to the topic question, Santa Anita wants more dates but probably cannot afford them. Del Mar is a no go due to costs. Fairplex and Los Al are both expansion possible but would have a long way to go before even being able to accommodate the horses.
Can it be possible of a Hollywood Park at Santa Anita meet in the future (similar of a Hialeah at Gulfstream 2000)?

Could the GGF entity operate it like it does the fall meet?

Frank S.- Jack Leibau. Now that may be a steel cage match I'd pay to see. Frank's energy girls can kick that goose girl around all day. Besides, Frank's make you yodel all night long.

Santa Anita didn't even want the always excellent Oak Tree meet carried on - why would they allow Hollypark to step in? Why does everything have to be considered to prop-up a failed business? It failed - let it crawl off and die somewhere, or someone buy it and throw millions at it to make it a viable race track once again.
Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.

Still think what winds up happening is a return to the old days where ONLY Northern or Southern California (except when Del Mar and the Ca. Fairs are running) are conducting racing at any one time. There may not be enough horses two sustain two full circuits outside of the summer, so it's possible Golden Gate could be operating by itself during the periods Hollywood Park has been running while Santa Anita is running without Golden Gate in the fall as well.

Never, Mr S would give up SA if this would happen
He wants the dates, why should he give them to HP, he destroyed Oak Tree.
He will destroy anyone who gets in his path, Why not, if I was in his shoes, I would do the same.
I tell you all, within a few years, watch the Racing Date Wars on your local web pages, it's coming.
Del Mar V HP, this will be a bloody battle.
