Elizabeth Guarisco "Spirit of Competition"

Does anyone happen to know anything about this sculptor? I have one that has the above title along with the horse number 8 and am can not find much online about it. I know this piece has been in my family for sometime as I use to "pretend" to ride it as a child but am unsure if it was made after a winning family horse or not. If you have any info at all it would be greatly appreciated! thanks so much!
