Pick 5 Group at Pomona and free Lunch -9AM

Postby Igeteven » Sat Oct 27, 2012 6:06 pm

Saturday, 11/3/12

I know 2 members will show up, how about you.

I am going to make a run to MacDonald s so, boys and girls, here is an chance to get into my pocket book.

Who is coming :?:

Meeting time will be around 9:AM , so please be on time, our ticket will be bet at the window at 9:55 am

If you need directions to get there, I will post it, if one needs it.

Bring Money, we can put a nice pick 5 together and who knows what will happen,

I would like to see at least 3 other members show up, If one does play AND I know you all do

Show up, we may go home with a bundle.

No Paypal, No picks over the PM messages, no promises, just show up and we will handicap each race and pick our best shots in on a consensus of the group. If one can afford a full percentage of the ticket, one can still join in and get a percentage what ever he or she puts in. So one still may go home with money in their pocket.

We are there to make money and have fun. :D

So our handicapping class will start around 9 AM outside at a table.

So good luck, who Knows Lady Luck maybe over looking our shoulder

If you are really planning on going to the Fplex's http://finishlinesportsgrill.com/flsg/index.asp for the Breeder's Cup I would suggest calling to reserve a table. I don't think many people are going to pass up a chance to see it live for 15-20 bucks, but I may be wrong.

I have been to the last 3 BC's at Santa Anita and have always just bought GA tickets. I don't mind standing (especially if I have a cold beer) to watch a race and i'm taller than most folks, so I'm at a loss why anyone would choose to sit at an OTB over going to the live event. To each their own..... I will be there in the trenches having a blast. :D

I was planning to sit on the east side, with the sliding seats, so I can hook up my laptop and watch the odds, etc,

I don't believe there will be reserve seating on those

However, I will check Monday when I drive by the place.

Good Luck at SA, those lines are a killer.

As to live racing, I am used to watching them on a monitor,

Remember free parking, free admission.

Good Luck Mr Wu, and I mean it.

Les,
I have been there for some of the Trip Crown races the past few years and i believe you are right about the east side. You are talking about where they hold the Barrett's equine auctions I assume.

The lines on BC day are a b*tch.... you're right.

All the best to you as well, Lester.

Mr Wu

No that's the North Side, we will be sitting when one enters the building, East Side). Just a lot of steps to go up and down like a amphitheater

No, we're talking about the same place. During the auctions they actually walk the horses on that platform above the SAM machines and in front of that podium where the security officers sit during race days. That's where the auctioneer makes his calls.

If you've never been, the next event is Jan 22. http://www.barretts.com/SalesCalendar/index.asp Fascinating stuff for any race fan.
