Both capable. Both will be big longshots. CF 15-1. CV 30-1 +

I like to say that talamo is more known IMO as a come from behind rider and specialty on turf too.

After watching his ride on Obviously in yesterday's Arroyo Seco I would have to agree with you.

CF is a free wheeling front end horse. Don't fight him or you end up getting nothing.

That also describes Obviously. Maybe even moreso.

Yeah also got tired in the del mar mile too. Coming into stretch runs, talamo is now turning into slowly but surely a strong finisher. Before, he wouldn't be that strong but now seeing him now this year talamo is more of a factor when it comes to a photo finish. So certainly he'll have good chemistry on a come from behinder rather than a speedster

Over the years Ju-Lep as I like to call him has been a big source of frustration for me as when I bet him he seems to always find a way to get trapped behind horses. Or like my buddy likes to say, Ju-Lep will find a way to get blocked in a two horse race, lol.

But in all fairness Ju-Lep must be given credit where credit is due. He is a very good grass rider which most Euro's are & if you back him when he's not on the obvious favorite in grass races usually there will be positive rewards forth-coming. This means back him in grass races when his mounts are hovering above $3-1.

Now I'm not sure how his grass riding form will transfer to So. Cal's speed favoring grass racing, however I do think that he can adapt after a couple of weeks, especially in those races with true competitive early pace battles.

The key as always will be to not go overboard on the horses he will be riding for his Father'nLaw Mitchell & back him when he's riding those $3-1 or higher grass runners.
