Re: Da RulerYeah, this one is puzzling for sure. I don't think too many trainers would claim off Bob but this just looks too good to pass up.
Re: Da RulerLooks a lot like Baffert's Solar Rocket who Mark Glatt claimed from him
Re: Da RulerGotta throw it out. Wins by close to 6 lengths in June going 7 and 1/2. You would think that they would have tried running 1 mile at Del Mar so this horse could clear off at a much higher level than the one today. It's also not usual for a Baffert runner to not have a workout closer to the race after Aug. 15th. His works shown are pretty fast too. 2-5 or 3-5 ??
Throwing out any Baffert is usually a mistake but being that it's closing day I'm looking for prices in the P5.
Re: Da Ruler
Sure does and this looks like the same pattern. Solar Rocket is a dirt specialist and Baffert entered him for bottom basement on last day of SA's spring meet knowing he'd have until November to run in worthy dirt races. Da Ruler looks like a synthetic specialist that must have some nagging problems that only allow him to race every few months. The new owners would have to try dirt or wait until mid November for HP. Like Andy mentions, I dont know why he wasn't entered earlier in this meet unless they don't know how he'll take to the poly. I'd play him but I'm not fond of his odds with that many other potential winners.
Re: Da RulerDa Ruler---------Da Late scratch. I wonder how many claims were in for him?

Re: Da RulerTold my friend at early bird I know there gonna scratch da ruler kept waiting and waiting finally 5min b4 post totally screwed his ticket up he singled him
Re: Da RulerAnyone seen or heard anything about Da Ruler since September?
Re: Da Ruler
Nope. Not on any work tabs that I've seen. Also wondering about former Baffert runner El Martillo?????
Re: Da RulerI liked that hard knocker too. He looked like he was eased in his last start, a turf route at Belmont while in the Engleheart barn; I never knew he switched barns.
