Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., were among the cities expecting record heat on Thursday, but they're not the only hot spots around. Humidity will make it feel like 110 degrees in parts of the Catskills and Hudson Valley. And then there's Arizona, where some areas could reach 114 degrees.

For the Northeast, the 30 million people who saw the heat move in Wednesday will feel even warmer temps before it cools off.
"You ain't seen nothing yet," Al Roker, NBC TODAY show's meteorologist, said Thursday morning. "All along I-95 this heat is going to be relentless."
Cities that could set records for a June 21, he said, include:

Boston could see 98 degrees (record is 95 in 1949);
New York City could reach 99 (record is 97 in 1988);
Philadelphia should peak near 100 (record is 99 in 1923);
Washington, D.C., could hit 100 (record is 98 in 1988).

Relief, Roker said, will move in Saturday, when temperatures should be 10-20 degrees cooler.
