My company wants me to pick up a police car in Henderson, Nv and deliver it to McAllen, Tx., down in the Rio Grande valley on the border with Mexico. Car is unmarked, except it is a white Ford Crown Vic with blackwall tires and tiny little hubcaps, and it has an antenna sticking up in the middle of the roof and you can see the red lights (disconnected) thru the grill.
So the fastest way is I-10 to San Antonio then south to the border. That way from my house is longer than the 1500 miles allotted. Boss suggested I leave the Interstate at Ft. Stockton, go to Del Rio (Tx) on the border, and take the road along the border for about 400 miles, saving 30 miles.
First person to guess what I told him about taking that route in a police crusier, carefully disguised as it may be, wins the VinceP "Class A" trip.
Negotiations are continuing.

If I took their advice, I would only be one for about 24 more hours.

I don't know what you told him but here's a suggestion. Your car has a cop engine, cop shocks and cop tires right? Well contact your silent brother Elwood, break out your Navy blue suits, your fedoras and your thin ties and haul azz. It don't matter what route you take nobody is gonna bother you. Remember the Penguin is in your corner. P.S. Stop in the first redneck bar you see in Lubbock and tell them you're the Good Ol' Boys. You'll be good to go from there.

Best idea yet! Ya'll could take bets on how far we would get! Might as well go out with class and a big bang.

It's good that it is a white car. Paint a red cross on both sides and the top and drive like you are on a mission.
