Last weekend to warm up before the best 6 weeks of the year!
BHP R1 - I don't know exactly what went wrong with Mr Bossy Pants last out. He got blocked, then kind of jogged home. I'm hoping that now he's back with Diodoro, he'll be back to the gamer that he has been. I'm also eyeing Oligarch. I suspect Kayla has been working on getting him to rate and he's finally coming around. His last out was actually pretty decent if you watch it. Looks like he tired a bit and Carbonite is a real gamer, so I'm willing to give him a chance here too.
I'm actually torn here, but will take Oligarch over Mr Bossy Pants and crossing my fingers that D'pendable folds down the lane. Will box these two in the exacta.
R2 - For a minor stakes race, this one shapes up to be something special! E Equalsmcsquared looked lights out in Texas last out. That was one impressive run by her. She's a Tiger looked lights out in Pleasanton last out. *That* was impressive as well. Then you throw in South Sound, who also looked like a world beater, and Pleasant Miss who is now with the Dorf and looked good as well, and you have the makings of a great race.
I'm guessing that both "E" and She's a Tiger will take all the money, so I'll go with Pleasant Miss and hopefully get great odds for my trouble.
R3 - Crystalline Indy - just for some action. I almost never have a strong opinion on Maiden races...
R4 - Speaking of Maiden races...oh wait...this is a G3??? With half the field being first time starters? Alpine Luck with Mr Gary onboard to wire these guys in a walk.
R5 - Glad's Gals - Looked like a gamer a year ago. We'll see if she's still good now.
R6 - Dinvar Diva - She's been all over the place the last two times out. A real wild one who probably would be 2-for-2 if she would run straight. I'm looking to Rafael to take control and if he can, she going to be mowing them down here. Also keeping an eye on English Crossing who looked great winning last time, very classy win...probably boxing these two in the exacta.
R7 - Starry Shark - I probably should just pass on these Maiden races...
R8 - Oh man, this should be another great race. I love half of these fillies, so I don't quite know which way to go. But, I really like Book Review in one-turn races. I think the 2nd turn really messes with her head . I'm hoping that I can get some decent odds on her. I also like Teddy's Promise, who absolutely would have won last out if she didn't get blocked. Not to mention Reneesgotzip and Byrama...wow. This should be good!
R9 - Back to back good races! Half the field will be barreling down the lane here, and it's shaping up to be a game of catch-me-if-you-can for Sarach. I'll go with Scarlet Strike to take her down. She always looks like she needs an extra furlong to run and gets it here.
R10 - Talk about races I should pass...if I were to stay for this, let's go with Harlan's Trick. Puype seems to know what he's doing.
BEL R7 - I really like North Slope here. Going up against some super tough ones, but looked so good last out, and should be a very decent price.
BEL R9 - Have to love Boisterous here. Great win last out and Big Blue Kitten came back to crush a decent group next out. 9/5 ML looks mighty fine to me.
Good luck all! ONE WEEK TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!
