As I mentioned elsewhere, this could be a day of short short short prices...here's hoping I can hit 50% then...
R6 - Dance to Bristol looks tough here, but she's going to be bet to nothing. So, I'll go with Strike the Moon, coming off a layoff, but I think she's been running with tougher, so she should be able to handle these.
R8 - My "value" bet of the day! Blueeyesintherein ran a pretty decent race in the Eight Belles, but ran out of steam. Cuts back in distance here, and if I can get 3/1 on her, I think that's a great bet!
R9 - Here we go with the chalk! I like Bridgetown here. I'll be willing to go down to 6/5 on him. Otherwise, I'm just watching.
R10 - Fiftyshadesofhay. I like the blinkers on move and no watching Beholder's butt here. She seems to like running on the lead, so I'm hoping she gets a good break and runs them ragged! Also hoping Emollient takes a ton of cash, and hoping that her KEE race was just a freaky thing.
R11 - Sweet Cassiopeia will take a lot of money here and is probably the logical choice to make, but I'll take a flyer here and go with Nachez Dawn. I like Stevens on board and I think she might be a great price. If she breaks well, it could be over! Like I said, a real flyer, but I can always hope!
R12 - Okay, here's a real chalk play. Need to take Last Gunfighter here. His last out was a thing of beauty. Was stopped and had to change course a handful of times, but still won very very easily. Extremely impressive run. I'll be willing to go down to 4/5 here. If he's lower, I'll just watch.
R13 - This is the last time I take Birdlover. I'll give her one more chance, just because I think she's finally going to get an easy lead. If not, O'neill is off my Christmas card list!!!!
Good luck all!
Couple longshots at Pimlico today to think about, this is before scratches of course and may be edited.
Race 2: #5 Nellie Cashman (20/1 ML) Makes turf debut after running 2nd in a maiden at Pimlico as the 6/5 favorite. Stretches out and the breeding is ok, but in the two races in which she has had a clean trip, she ran 2nd. Nice rider upgrade to Rosie too, and the price is certainly right!
#8 Jessica C (10/1 ML) Have to think she is going to be bet down after beaten beaten as the favorite sprinting on the turf on debut. Made a nice late move which should set her up well for the route. Juicing trainer in tow and trainer wins 20% with his 2nd time starters.
Race 5: #6 Righteous Place (12/1 ML) is one who appears to be a little light on figures but the form is good. Obviously something went amiss last time because of the 3 1/2 month layoff entering this race. Moves to Hamilton Smith today, who isn't as bad of a trainer as his numbers may indicate. Showed sharp turf form at Tampa and is certainly the right odds.
Race 7: #2 Mr Online (12/1 ML) Reversed his form after being claimed with a sharp win at Atlantic City. Think the horse has woken up with the barn change and could see a scenario that he repeats. He has enough tactical speed to stay out of trouble and has a cozy inside post. The call to repeat.
Race 13: #11 Miss Lucky Sevens (10/1 ML) Has done nothing wrong in her brief career so far. Her only bad run was a very troubled trip run at Keeneland. She won her return on the polytrack well and catches a race that is relatively light on speed. Definitely worth a play at 10/1 on this improving filly.

Yes!!! Very nice pick on that one!
The only thing that saved me was a saver bet that TT threw out this morning. Very nice call!
May as well have been running on the moon...faded into the green, green grass after maybe, oh, 2 furlongs...
NEVER(!) let me do 10 minute handicapping between races when the horse I'm on scratches. I should have checked the early scratches and took more time to look this one over.
This is really bothering me! I could have sworn Bridgetown was hanging around 9/5 right before post, but then the race goes off, and suddenly he's the even money favorite!!!! Whaaaaa???? Bah, I wouldn't be complaining about this if he won.
One of my only friends today! I got *really* worried when she was last going into the first turn. But, that truly awful and terrible (NOT!!!!!!) rider Rosario knew what he was doing and booted her home. Take that all you haters! That was a *good* ride!!!!
MAN!!!! I was overjoyed for 55 seconds there...too bad the race was 56 seconds...
I lied and bet him! In my defense, I was watching the odds and it was rising with every other click of the tote. So, I absolutely thought he'd get up to 4/5.
DOUG!!! You're off the list!!!!!!
win: 28.6% (ROI: $1.40)
People on the "no Christmas card for you" list:
Well, thanks for the props guys. Today was a very good day that could have been a great day had I wagered smarter lol..
Lester's 12/1 ML that went off at double odds pays off once again.. Put the odds's on my side and the odds's take care of me.
