Nothing puts me in full rant mode quite as much as the greed of the oil companies.http://www.latimes.com/business/autos/l ... 6849.story
Summer gasoline prices will be lower in the U.S. than they were last year. But they won't be much lower, experts say, because U.S. refineries have been exporting record amounts of fuel overseas...
Here's a suggestion. Get seriously involved with our government process, to see if you can change what upsets you. You see, this what the oil companies do and other large corporations do. They send their lobbyists to Washington to use government to their advantage, to change what upsets them, while all the while sending out propaganda or using their political congress persons to try and convince, you, the avg. citizen, that government is bad and that you should stay away. The oil companies take advantage of the govt. process but often I hear the avg. citizen denounce and blame the govt. without understanding that they have to get involved with the process, just as the oil companies get involved. But alas, ever since a certain actor told us that govt. is bad and stay away from govt., ( because if people stay away then corporations can use govt. to benefit them, without being bothered by the citizens), people tend to blame the govt. Yet the real blame should go to our citizenry's inactivity and belief that they can't make a difference. If the voter and the people stay away, then all the govt. has to listen to is the oil companies.
