Dave Weaver knocked em dead at Los Al on Sunday night. His ice cold exacta was #3 over the #4. They went off at 4/5 and 2-1 in a 6 horse field.Nice of Ed Boorhard to yell its "Ice cold time" while they were in the stretch. That was fun. The payoff was 4.00 for a 1.00.Congratulations.
Lol...I find it very odd when TVG checks picks on the TV screen and they're always, 117%, the chalk. Makes no sense to me.
Do you remember getting programs from tracks and at the bottom of the page, it would always say.
"Trackman's selections: 3-7-2-6. Then you look at the morning lines and sure enough, the 3 is the favorite followed by the 7, 6 and 2. Never understood the reasoning behind even writing his "selections."
Same with TVG.
Why don't they just say, "Play the 1-2 favorites in every race" and save time and space for everyone.
Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Weaver is a pretty funny guy. One day a year ago he was at HP to fill in for someone and gave out his Ice Cold for Los Al that night, I put 200.00 on it. If I remember right it was something like Even Money on top of an 8-1 shot. It was hilarious when they were waiting for the probables to come up and the 1.00 exacta said it was paying 1.00 for like 10 minutes. Les and Dave were cracking up wondering how it could only be paying 1.00. I slowly pulled the bet off late.
that's kind of the joke about the Ice Cold Exacta. It's supposed to be the biggest sure thing of the night. He knows it's chalky and isn't going to pay much. The quarters show is all about fun, and makes Los Alamitos, a track and sport (QH) that I personally have never or will never have interest in, something I watch regularly and actually put a few bucks on.
I couldn't agree more with nwhorseman. I had little interest in Los Al when living in CA, but after moving to CT, we started watching late one night and became hooked. Mike, Dave, Les and Ed make it enjoyable to watch and I love following their picks as they often laugh at each other's pick. I've since hit some nice pick 4's there and plan on purchasing a yearling at the Los Al sale in October.
What was odd about the post? Been lurking here for a long time , saw the post about Los al that I wanted to comment on and posted that I liked a show. San Digo boy, moved to CT for business and schlep to NYC everyday. I wish I was Dave.
