I would say Del Mar will get it by 2015 but no later then 2016

Construction on the new tracks will proceed when the contracts are signed after the season is done.

I just hope we are all still around to see it.

Lester - who owns Del Mar?
America must have the highest "goofs per capita" rating of any nation outside Antarctica.

Kermet, What it all boils down to : The State of California

The grounds are leased to the DMTC for the next million years,

What I am trying to get across, The CHRB works for the State, they can change laws and do what they want, they all know, that Del Mar is a cash cow for the State, the State sits back and does nothing. the track works it tail off to make them the money.

I have no idea what the lease payments are or how much they send the State as part of the take out, however, I heard it HUGE.

More racing dates, more money for the State and the poor employee's work harder.

Okay -- for the record:

DMTC has plans to reconfigure our turf course at the end of the 2013 meet. It will allow us to increase field sizes and alter the profile to improve the surface. For a long list of reasons, it won't be a lush, European-style surface.

There are no plans afoot to go back to dirt.

Our current lease has 18 more years to run.
I hate it when I don't forward chain letter and I die the next day!

If the BC comes to Del Mar , what happens, I believe the track will be replace or Del Mar looses the BC, If I was in charge, the track goes, hello dirt.

Please advise.
