We all know that business is business, Del Mar is the perfect spot for spring ,summer or fall racing.

I just figure people out, people think money grows on trees at the race tracks, No way will Los Al put up 10 1/2 million plus in hard cash or will the L.A. Supervisors spend one dime on horse racing,

It took years just to get A/C at Fairplex.

The Los Al deal will happen and Oak Tree will run the meet. They have plenty of money and won't need to pay rent. 117.177% FACT.

Mr Pick 4 is scheduled at this point to attend Darby day. I will be looking through the couch cushions in the upcoming weeks to scrap together a few dollars.

Do you feel the tracks learned a lesson in putting in non natural tracks.

Personally, I still think it was one of the biggest blunders in the history of racing.

Believe it or not, Del Mar will lead the way within 2 years and I can say this, the management will not make the same mistake twice, what eve it costs or takes, Del Mar will have the best Turf and Dirt surfaces on the planet.

Any comments.

As to woodbine, I just don't know.

I don't mind synthetic tracks at all lester

The Breeders Cup will not come to Del Mar, wrong time of the year, turf course too small, paddock area too small. Its all money with the Breeders Cup and if they cant seal off all areas and charge you mega money to have the opportunity to walk in those areas , they aint interested. They can hold Breeders Cup in So Cal every year from here til racing is dead and I will not attend Breeders Cup. When I attend the races everyday but cant go to the paddock on Breeders Cup day they can shove their races up their culos.

Lester you have no idea. Ever.

Calm down Shorty.

I've l!terally learned more about racing from the many posts in this forum than I did reading the Racing Form for over 77 years.

And note that Lester has given many of us in here longshot after longshot winners and interesting handicapping theories that came to fruition more often than not. He’s the man when it comes to the inside of racing. I’ve made more money by following this forum than I have by working in my lifetime. Don’t shortchange what you read in here.

So if Lester says the Breeders' Cup is coming to Del Mar soon, then bank on it.

And btw, at last count there are 17 synthetic tracks in the US, counting Calder's.

DX

The question is, will the owners and trainers go to Los Al , plus have they even signed a deal yet to run the meet,

Did the CHRB approve this yet ?
Did the money come through to expand the track and put in a Turf Course.

Lets see, as we ALL know Cash talks, BS walks.

To Vince P

I would say Del Mar will get it by 2015 but no later then 2016

Construction on the new tracks will proceed when the contracts are signed after the season is done.

I just hope we are all still around to see it.
