Growing up and seeing Precisonist, Greinton, Spec Bid, Alsyheba, Ferdinand..You see what has happened to the 'Big Cap in the last 20 years and its very sad.

The Big Cap? What about the San Juan, and several other prestigious Stakes races in southern Cal, let alone the whole Turf series. Not only have these races basically disintegrated into glorified high class allowance races, but their purses continue to drop too. Vince P

The Sunset Handicap now worth only $100K at BHP and is only a Grade 3 Stakes.
