Any member of the Catholic Church- Couple of questions

Postby Igeteven » Mon Feb 11, 2013 8:21 pm

Please, only members of the Church, others please don't respond to this thread.

1. When he retires, what type of position will he have?

2. Does he still remain at the Vatican or can he move to where he wants to live ?

Any info on this would help

when a Pope quits or resigns his position Really what happens to him. As we know, this happen over 600 years ago.

Thanks

I'm not a Catholic, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn.

This is the first time in 498 years a Pope has retired, so there's not a lot of precedent. There is, however, a plan.

I hate it when I don't forward chain letter and I die the next day!

My sources inform me that the new Pope may in fact be a nun. Just after the Papal resignation yesterday, Sister Mary Hillary the Liberated, a newly decorated nun from Arkansas, secretly announced her intentions to run for the office of the Papacy. Said Sister Mary Hillary to her liberal convent sisters, "I'm throwing my habit in the ring." "Men have run this thing long enough, it's time for a woman to have chance to right this ship." "Organize with me, Sisters and we'll march on the Vatican!."

The Sisters are planning a one day sit in, at the Papal Square, where they will sing Bobby Dylan protest songs.

Your joke is not funny, The Pope is the religious leader of almost 1 1/2 Billion people.

For those who think he's retiring for health reasons, I have some unclaimed land to sell you in Alaska.

Whoops, my bad. I got the wrong Pope. I thought you were talking about that other Pope.

Say, now I have a serious question:

When the Pope resigns who takes over? Is it the Vice Pope, or is it the Speaker of Vatican City??

Since this is such a rare event I forgot my history on this subject.

Hey dude listen, I don't mean to post and run, but if you would post the answer please and I'll try to look in later. There's this weird lightning storm happening around my house right now, yet the sky is clear? I'm going to go outside and see whaaaas up!!

It's OK, I am not Catholic, however, some members maybe or some guest, they may take offense to the joke. I just don't want to piss anyone off.
