way way way less drugs now than in the 1920s,1930s,1940s,1950s, 1960s.1970s
and the derugs used now days arent near as strong as drugs used in years past. the biggest difference is tests. get rid of drugs the sport couldnt exist.
because horses couldnt run near as often

LEXINGTON – A hearing officer in Kentucky has upheld a decision by the licensing committee of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission to deny a racing license to the embattled trainer Richard Dutrow Jr.

The ruling, issued Monday, is largely moot because Dutrow has had his license revoked in New York and is no longer training. Still, the hearing officer’s ruling is noteworthy in establishing the grounds on which the licensing committee can deny licenses to trainers and other racing participants...

Looks like Rick will have to find a new hobby for a ten year span.

He should get 1-2 years. I know I'm in a small minority on this but 10 years is excessive.

It wasn't really a penalty or a fine, they basically wanted him out of the sport for good.

It's 2 yrs. for the violation and another 8 for his personality.

I don't think he will get to first base with this, if they take away the power of the regulators, this means a open gate for anyone to collect.

He has to have very and I mean very strong damages to win his case.

Four trainers that have been barred from racing due to medication violations have filed suit in Oklahoma County District Court to be allowed to run horses at the upcoming Remington Park race meeting...
