Gulfstream Park on Thursday, Feb. 7th

Postby Kermit » Tue Feb 05, 2013 10:21 am

One on my watch list -

Race 1) #3 Bashful Bandit ... my notes: 4th first-out in full field, went from 7th to 4th in the stretch @ 6.5f, lookd great on track, nice works.
Since raced the colt has worked 4 times, once at 4f, three times at 5f.
In here at 1 mile on Turf, full field, moved up in distance, surface and claiming price. The mile will be good I think, who knows about the surface.
I know it's not a beauty contest but the horse looked super and in racing shape. He was 5-1 his first race.
Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.

Part 2:
His ML odds are 4-1. Too chancy for a large wager, a maiden in his 2nd race who is changing distance and surface and moving up a little in class. Full field also.
A small DD and win bet, maybe a couple of small exactas. His is still in maiden claiming.

2... Mr J ... Orlando Bocachica ........... 22.40 .. 9.80 .. 5.20
3... Bashful Bandit ... Joseph Rocco, Jr. ............ 6.40 .. 3.80
8... Rickashea ... Javier Castellano .......................... 2.80

Nice run, 1:36, went off at 9/2, stuck his head in front briefly. Has a future.
