imo he looked great in the paddock and warming up on the track. oniel added b l i n kers 1st time which told me he was going to try different tactics.
i figured they would put him 4 or 5 lengths off the lead which i thought was a mistake. but it made sense in that small field i guess, but to put him on the lead was nothing short of stupidity.
you guys may be right and he isnt what i think he is, but i gotta give him one more chance before i throw in the towell. btw when he was cruising down the back stretch on flashbacks throat latch
no question his action is way way better than flashbacks and any horseman would concur, but besides the way they travel they gotta have heart and right now thats his question

You couldn't put him 4 or 5 lengths behind Flashback or game is over. He wasn't going to beat FB under any circumstance.
FB was walking on the lead from the start and improved his position into the stretch as Leparoux wanted.

yep he should have been at least 10 lengths back. and absolutely no doubt he would have been closer at the finish than he was.

Seemed like he was the one assigned to do the dirty work of keeping Flashback honest. Not sure if it was O'Neill's instructions
to Gutierrez or he did it on his own.

i cant imagine oniel wanted him right on the lead, but like i said before the race i thought by adding b l i n kers oniel showed he was asking for some speed which was a bad mistake.
hey ive been wrong before, but until this horse gets the right scenerio i wont give up on him. if he was mine he would ship next out and get a new jockey and tell the jock to be sure and be dead last until the far turn then turn him loose. if they do that and he doesnt fire then im wrong. good thing is he will be a monster price next out if they run him in a g1 and i will be all over him. i dont understand why everyone keeps saying he was over rated.i think im the only one who liked him in the bc. about 20 guys at drf gave thier top 4 choices in the race and not one of them had him even 4th.

I was ten feet from him, he was skinny, drawn up and looked sore....Answer me this...why do you think he has been unwilling to work??? O'Neill worked him out of the gate two breezes back because he wouldn't work...he breezed him in the p.m. with Handsome Mike where he was under a drive and worked terrible... Going to the gate, Gutierrez must have hit him 10 times... He doesn't want to be doing what he is doing...call it sour, call it sore..

He's just not much horse. Does anyone really think that Reddam & O'Neill can catch lightning in a bottle twice in consecutive
years???? I certainly don't!!!

Wrong.

I was all over him in the BC, mainly because I thought he was a humungous overlay probably due to his synthetic/overlooked form.

Had he gotten up, you and I would be in Kauai right now with several wimmin folk.

Also, I really can't imagine he's all that skinny looking, sore and broken down as many folks are saying. It's not like he was eased or pulled up in his last few races from being sore. I also think he wasn't in the best of pace situations last Saturday.

That being said, I'll need some nice odds to make a wager on him next time.
