Bad spill at GGF

HRTV will not be showing the video of the race. Anyone who tries to post it in here will never darken our doorway again.

I was at the Del Mar off track, they showed the replay on the intrack feed 4-5 dozen times due to the inquiry. I was surprised, I thought there was a rule to not show it on incidents like this one?. Looked to me that at least one of the horses was in bad shape. I am not sure it needs to be shown 50 times. That was a sad incident.

There used to be such a rule of not showing replay when a horse or rider was injured. Think it may, sadly, have been changed.

Nothing worse than the spill there some years back that ended Marco Castaneda's career (and almost his life).

They should be shown, especially if it could result in a change of placing regarding wagers on the race.

Sadly in this case, Black Mango fractured his front right leg and was put down, per DRF.

Not! If there's an inquiry, just don't tear-up your tickets. The Stews will sort it all out and let you know.

I agree with Kermit if there is a placing change the stewards will have to show the audience the replay in order to protect the integrity of the game and to explain the disqualification. Terrible spill, those things always make me feel awful after watching it happen live them but we still need to see them we're all adults I hope.

I am ok if they make a change or don't that they can show one or two times AFTER they made their decision. There is zero need to show it 50 times over and over in slow motion. Someone out there owned and/or bred those horses, or a jockey was part of someones family. It's more than enough to see it afterwards. If someone who had a 1.00 trifect thinks he is getting robbed he can go watch the replay at a later time to decide if the stewards single intent with the decision was to defraud them.
