Certainly should be. He should win for fun and pay about $2.60 to win.
Won his maiden race, which means he beat a bunch of non-winners. Ran at HP on all-weather track at one turn. Wonderful set of works at SA, of course they were fast, it's a Baffert horse. In at a 2-turn 8.5f on dirt. I might play him at evens, not at 2/5.

Im certainly not going to bet Flashback to win at 1/5 but maybe free square in the pick 4 or pick 5.

With 4 horses, ALL is a free square.

If Flashback stays healthy, a big concern with Tapits who tend to develop the niggling type injuries that causes missed training, the sky's the limit. He is more robust than typical Tapits, probably from the Mr. Greeley influence so hopefully this will benefit him. His efficiency of movement that helps with the high cruising speed should bring all TC races right into his wheelhouse. Yep, it's way early to speculate TC chances but aside from his light foundation, he appears the total package and I'm basing this on many elements including how he looks both in the morning and afternoon. A dream type horse for any owner/trainer and I eagerly look forward to his next race. Good luck to connections, can't have enough stars and this one could light up the industry. What a sensational sire Tapit has become and wish I had attempted to obtain a lifetime breeding right his first year at stud when he was only $10K or at least committed to a 5 or 10 year deal. But of course, vast majority of stallions are failures and would have been a high risk bet. He was intriguing though because his ability wasn't enhanced by drugs being trained by MD.

Bridle....I have said this often, NO ONE can predict who will be a good stallion or broodmare before they've had a foal hit the ground, though many profess the ability to..Certainly once they've had a foal crop or two and you can see what they look like, it becomes a bit easier, but as you mentioned with Tapit, his foals were light and weedy looking, yet they RUN! And until you see a crop or two from a stallion, it is impossible to say whether they will be good or not. Who would have thought Scat Daddy would have been the best young sire of his group?? As far as the Tapits go, Flashback is the exception to the rule as he is a big, robust, untypical looking Tapit, which drew me to him in the paddock the first time he ran. His full sister Zazu was light and not particularly attractive. A lot of people have questioned how far Flashback, or any of the Tapits will run, but it is important to note that Tapit, in his first few crops, has been known as a "filly" sire, as he has had, until now, far more quality fillies than colts. How many filly races are there going past 1 1/8th on the main track?? The Coaching Club Oaks??? Some very exciting three-year-olds have materialized in the last couple weeks, at the top of my list in no particular order are Flashback, Verrazzano and Itsmyluckyday, though I wouldn't begrudge anyone who held Violence, Revolutionary, Goldencents, Demonic or yesterday's first race maiden breaker Tiz The Truth in high acclaim as well...

Thank you but does Sadler have any serious thoughts of pointing in that direction? Vince P
Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. Avatar: My cuzin Isaac Murphy - a jock I'm tying to emulate in character and winning percentage - almost 47% lifetime.

Vince, as a matter of fact, John and I had a talk about Demonic on Friday. The NW1X Super Ninety Nine won on Thursday came up too quickly, so he is forced to either wait for the next one (optimal, but not likely as they don't fill well) or force him into a stakes (more likely). He thinks the world of him and doesn't want to force feed him into a highly pressurized situation, but if he can handle it, he will pursue it.

Thanx - appreciate the info/update. I saw his work the other day and it "seemed" decent - 46 and change, but I have no ideal what it really looked like or what the intent was. Vince P

Box, we're exactly on the same page regarding stallions as mentioned in my post, "high risk bet" and could have said "super high risk bet" and what is both maddening and a lot of fun is processing the near limitless considerations when choosing a mare's mate. One thing that's a sure bet is you would match anyone for your fondness of the game and appreciation for a good horse. Would not be surprised if this boy makes a big name for himself and hope we have a lot of thrills down the road. Tapits just worry me more given their propensity for those small but time killing problems but I love that FB is built so robustly. Accept that I could be wrong but even with his pedigree, I have a feeling he'll run all day and obviously, and unlike some other nice Tapits, he carries himself with poise and class before hitting the track and one cannot overstate how important that will be as the races and crowds get bigger.
