Dustin Hoffman Blames TMZ for the Cancelling of HBO's Luck

Postby Joel » Fri Feb 01, 2013 11:21 am

Dustin Hoffman says the TMZ reports surrounding the deaths of 3 horses on the set of "Luck" last year are to blame for his show getting canceled ... claiming our facts were wrong.

Dustin just gave an interview to FoxNews.com, saying the "real" reason the show was canceled was due to a collaboration between PETA and TMZ ... and NOT because the public was upset that THREE horses died during production.

Hoffman said, "It’s completely distorted. Anyone who raises horses know they break their legs. The accusations they made were distorted."

He also directs people to the horse racing website Paulick Report for the "real reason the show was canceled."

The show was cancelled because it couldn't draw the ratings end of story! I've got all the episodes and participated in the messege board that hbo set up and you could tell by the comments it was too hard too understand such a nrrow gendre if you already weren't interested in the racing game.Dustin Hoffman is no Don Corleone!

The series was Drek. I'm surprised they didn't pull the plug right after the pilot.

I agree. I believe that HBO decided that a audience of racetrackers only would supply enough ratings. e.g ALL THE ACTORS WERE GRANDFATHERS OR GRANDMOTHERS.Great acting by gary stevens and his agent. Dustin Hoffman was one stride throughout.
Four horses died not three.
