The Humboldt County Fair Board of Directors will meet next week to begin discussing a management search after voting against renewing the contract of longtime General Manager Stuart Titus for a second time.
A closed session motion to accept a proposal for a new contract failed Monday night, with eight directors in favor of the motion and 11 opposed. The board voted earlier this month not to renew Titus' contract after 22 years as the fair's general manager.
