I'm not enthralled with a horse needing that much encouragement. I prefer a horse who does it on his own with talent and
doesn't need to be whipped to be focused. Difference in opinion. That workout was one of the worst I've ever seen for
a supposed stakes horse. Eased at the end while workmate was a quarter mile ahead of him.

Robert B. Lewis S. (Grade II)

Purse $200,000. For Three-Year-Olds. By subscription of $200 each to accompany the nomination closed with 2. $3,000 additional to start, with $200,000 guaranteed. The winner to receive $120,000 PLUS 10 KENTUCKY DERBY POINTS, $40,000 to second, $24,000 to third, $12,000 to fourth and $4,000 to fifth. 123 Lbs. Non-winners of a Grade I or Grade II at One Mile or Over , allowed 3 Lbs. Non-winners of a Grade III race at One Mile or Over, 5 Lbs. All Early Bird nominees to the 2013 Santa Anita Derby (Closing Date, December 22, 2012) are automatically eligible to the Robert B. Lewis Stakes with all fees waived. A trophy will be presented to the owner of the winner. One And One Sixteenth Miles.

Since this is the Robert Lewis Stakes I thought the conditions were supposed to be the following:


STAKES
Robert B. Lewis S. (Grade II)
Purse $200,000.For Three-Year-Olds. By subscription of $200 each to accompany the nomination. Horses must have been bought at auction for at least $500K and still be eligible for Maiden or NW1 Allowance conditions. $3,000 additional to start, with $200,000 guaranteed.

race sucks. makes it triple tough on my horse with no pace to run at. he could be 30 lengths back
going down the backside, i would prefer that over being close,because he is a stone cold deep closer.
why wouldnt oniel put a rabbit in there?

O'Neill had Persuasive Paul entered originally then scratched him. Don't know how fast he is or could have been your rabbit
