What I said. Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.
Re: some concern
Dropping back while being whipped isn't teaching the horse anything. Could it be that he's simply not a good horse????? Food for thought.
Re: some concernno. he has already proven he is a very good horse. come on, he got beat a head in the bc juvy by the undefeated 2 year old champion
after getting in tons of trouble. that champoin just tran 2nd beat 2 lengths in track record time.
Re: some concernBefore Friday’s first race, O’Neill-trained He’s Had Enough and Handsome Mike worked in company in 1:11 on Santa Anita’s wet/fast track.
“Handsome Mike was just kind of cruising when He’s Had Enough came up alongside of him,” said Doug’s brother, Dennis. “Handsome Mike’s a good work horse but the other one still hasn’t quite figured it out yet. Mario (Gutierrez) was really getting after him to finish up. “Handsome Mike (ridden by Tyler Baze) was just breezing . . . on the gallop out, Handsome Mike was much the best.” http://santaanita.com/stablenotes/stabl ... golden-302
Re: some concernThese are the four p.m. works courtesy of Handicappers Report http://www.hreport.com
GOLDENCENTS SA 01/26/13 A- WF 110.1 H GOLDENCENTS worked in this p.m. drill before the first race over a sealed wet-fast track under regular rider Kevin Krigger, He broke off under a long hold and remained in cruise control the entire drill, fractional times of :22.4, :45.3 :57.4 finishing up under a hold in 110.1. Excellent drill for the top class three-year-old, how far he will run is a question mark, but he is extremely talented. HANDSOME MIKE SA 01/25/13 B WF 111.0 H HANDSOME MIKE (B) worked with HE'S HAD ENOUGH (B-) - These two worked in company in this p.m. drill before the first race over a sealed wet-fast track, HANDSOME MIKE had Tyler Baze up and broke one length in front along the inside, HE'S HAD ENOUGH with Mario Gutierrez aboard moved closer leaving the backstretch and around the far turn, HE'S HAD ENOUGH was put to whips to put his neck in front of his stablemate, who was never allowed to run at any point nearing the wire, fractions of the work were 23.2, 46.3, 58.1 1:10.4 for HE'S HAD ENOUGH, 111.0 final time for HANDSOME MIKE, who was much best, and on the gallop-out, ENOUGH was whipped numerous times, 'MIKE moved clear while still under a stranglehold. Unimpressive move for HE'S HAD ENOUGH, albeit, his workmate is an older horse and he may not have cared for the hard, sealed track, but he certainly did not send out a ringing endorsement as a Derby horse. 'MIKE worked well within himself, will point for the San Antonio. HE'S HAD ENOUGH SA 01/25/13 B- WF 110.4 H HANDSOME MIKE (B) worked with HE'S HAD ENOUGH (B-) - These two worked in company in this p.m. drill before the first race over a sealed wet-fast track, HANDSOME MIKE had Tyler Baze up and broke one length in front along the inside, HE'S HAD ENOUGH with Mario Gutierrez aboard moved closer leaving the backstretch and around the far turn, HE'S HAD ENOUGH was put to whips to put his neck in front of his stablemate, who was never allowed to run at any point nearing the wire, fractions of the work were 23.2, 46.3, 58.1 1:10.4 for HE'S HAD ENOUGH, 111.0 final time for HANDSOME MIKE, who was much best, and on the gallop-out, ENOUGH was whipped numerous times, 'MIKE moved clear while still under a stranglehold. 'MIKE worked well within himself, will point for the San Antonio. MUDFLATS SA 01/26/13 C+ WF 114.1 H MUDFLATS worked in this p.m. drill before the first race over a sealed wet-fast track with Leparoux aboard, going off easily enough in 24.4 and 49.1, he appeared to try and lean out while getting urged in 101.3 then appeared tired while still trying to drift out noticeably, the final time of 114.1, he then shut it down after that while appearing very lackluster on the gallop out. Unimpressive move, he appears to be well below the better local three-year-olds.
Re: some concernHey, why don't we just have the trainers declare which race they are pointing to, then work the horses, and the one who works the fastest wins the declared race and is sent the money? Nothing else matters, so this would be perfect. Think of the savings in gasoline, food, electricity, and the tracks could let go most of their employees, that would help the bottom line.
Win - win. Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.
Re: some concernonly managed to be the field filler horse.
Re: some concernTear up those future book bets on He's Had Enough. Horse totally out of his league as Flashback ripped his head off.
